Meet OKtavia Jean, a hero from my own Universe. I created a comic book series called Mapou, Mapou is a comic book series that follows the journey of 5 Haitian American teens who are summoned to do battle in the spirit realm by their ancestors and Haitian gods, known as lwa (loa). I created this comic book to connect Haitian and Haitian American youth to their culture and spirituality. To not only present the information in a way that is enriching but a way that is entertaining and relatable. Thank you for letting me share my story, every purchase brings us closer to releasing!
